Compressing existing TIFF file using MRC

Post by fs051268 » Thu Mar 03, 2016 6:10 pm

Hi,

I have a question regarding compressing an existing TIF image using MRC: As far as I know, the function AddImageFromGdPictureImage_2 is the one to add an image to a PDF file and use MRC compression. Is it also possible to compress an existing TIF file with MRC and keep it as a tiff?
Or is MRC only supported within PDF files?

Thanks for your support!

Hi,

Unfortunately the MRC technology cannot be compatible with TIFF.

Hello,

here is the method for adding an image to the PDF document using MRC compression:

And here is the new one named ReplaceImageMRC() compressing image-based pages contained in the PDF document using MRC compression:

Kind regards,
