Example code of writing annotations to OCG Layer

Post by StevenH » Tue Mar 28, 2017 4:01 pm

Is it possible to draw annotations to an OCG layer? Is there a code example of creating an OCG layer and writing an annotation to that layer?

Hi,
Unfortunately, we do not support adding an annotation to an OCG layer yet.
You can find some examples related to OCG features in the Optional Content Groups (Layers) section in our Reference Guide, for example:

OCG handling by itself only allows us to toggle the visibility of elements. To present the annotations in the PDF file we still need a way. The annotations are invisible by default and shown with certain triggers are clicked. When some file formats are converted to PDF OCG layers are added. There isn’t yet a tool in Acrobat that can attach OCGs to drawn objects on the page. They are only available through third-party tools, file conversions, and a couple of operations built into Acrobat Professional. Professional writers help to give good papers from the best essay services.
