Imaging.DrawText proboem

Post by TheBob » Mon Feb 08, 2010 8:22 pm

I use the following code to place a fake footing on a scanned to pdf document.

Dim footer As String = "Scanned Date/Time: " & Now & " FileName: " & ShortDocName & " Scanned By: " & frmMain.lblUser.Text
Imaging.DrawText(footer, DateNamePosX, DateNamePosY, DateNameFontSize)

When I try it on the clients machine or one of mine without visual studio, fake footing does not appear in the document.

I copied the dll's and ocx to the system32 directory and registered then gdpicturepro5.ocx and gdpicturepro5s.ocx.

What else should I do.

The return value is 0 or OK, but no image is drawn. Again it work fine on the development machines.

Ok,

Please attach the image on which you are trying to draw text.

Also, give real value for DrawText parameters (not variable) for investigation.

With best regards,

Loïc

The image is any scanned image. I scan a sheet and add the fake footing.

I tried using values instead of variables with the same results.

Have made a new discovery. If i make the scan in black and white rather than color the footing appears.

what can I try next. Again it work on the development machines with both color and black and white scan's

For me all is working fine.

If you want more assistance, give us a code snippet which reproduce your problem (from image acquisition to text drawing over the image).

With best regards,

Loïc

I put togeather a small VS project to demonstrate the problem.

Run the program, select the scanner, then scan any document and the footing will appear if not a color scan and will not if a color scan.

can I send you the project via YouSendIt
