Hi,

All our components are tested and running without any problem under Windows Vista 64 bit.

Please, give us more informations than "It does not seem to register."

Kind regards,

very easy to reproduce but you need Visual Studio 2008. Just add the control and run the application with the debugger. You will see the problem. I am just not going to use 64 bit as the development platform. The installation will install the control just fine and it work fine in 64 bit vista, but not when being developed. The bad news is I guess I no longer need to get GD Viewer because the active X control I had before works the same way, so I might as well just use that. I was just trying to avoid using a 32 bit PC for development. Maybe it is a visual 2008 issue, who knows.

Maybe rebuilding your project can solve your problem.

We will install a vista 64 bit computer for development test within 1 week.

Hi,

I installed Windows Vista 64 bit.
I installed GdPicture Pro Imaging SDK package.
I was able to open/debug/compile/run all .net samples provided.

I am using the (Safe) version, could this be the problem?
I will try rebuilding with the standard version. By the way I am using gdPicturePro dated June 3, 2009.

Thanks,

Neal.

Hi Neal,

Using the safe edition outside a web application have no sense.

Please, try the standard edition. If the problem persists, tell me what you done to install the component.

Kind regards,

Loïc

Still getting a "Class Not Registered" error:

Here's the steps I performed
- Open Visual Studio 2008 Pro on a Computer running Windows Vista Ultimate 64 bit
- Create a New Project (Visual c# Windows Forms Application)
- Add a reference to gdPicturePro5
....- Project - Add Reference - COM - GdPicturePto 5 - Imaging Toolkit
- Add GdPicturePro5 Imaging and GdPicturePro5.GdViewer to my Toolbox
....- Tools - Choose Toolbox Items - COM Compnents - check GdPicturePro5.GdViewer and GdPicturePro5.Imaging
Add a GdViewer Object to my form
Add an Imaging Object to my form

Build the Project

I tried again with just the viewer and had the same problem.

I tried running Visual Studio as Administrator with the same results

Strangely enough, the vb.net sample app does run. I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong here.

Neal.
