GD Imaging/Viewer relationship

Postby gdtrax » Tue Feb 02, 2010 10:41 pm

Hello,

We are new to PDF creation/viewing however are looking into using the GD Viewer and the GD Imaging components in a VB6 application. Question: We want to create PDFs on the fly (not saved on disk) and then display them in the GDViewer. At that point the user can decide whether or not to print/save the PDF. Some of the examples go over how to create a pdf however we aren't sure as to how:

1. To create the pdf without first saving it to the disk.

2. Load that pdf to the viewer without loading it from the disk (directly from the GD imaging object).

and help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

Unfortunately you need to save first the PDF to disk using GdPciture ActiveX. In our GdPicture.NET releases we have a way to save PDF as stream then load it back as stream.

With best regards,
