GDViewer doesn't clear Memory

Postby Wuppi » Thu Jun 19, 2008 9:28 am

Hello,

we are using GDViewer3 in our program. The problem is, every time we use the GDViewer to show a picture, the memory adds 5MB.

For example, my cache memory has now about 500 MB effiency. When I open any pictures with GDViewer, the memory goes up to 505 MB. Nothing wrong so far.

But when I close the picture, the memory is not given free completely. So after closing the picture, I still have anyway 503 MB cache effiency.

The main problem is, if our users click on many many pictures at work, the program will crash eventually because of the huge cache memory effiency.

Is there any way to empty the cache manually? Or is this problem solved by any newer version?

Thank you for any help! :)

Hi,

- I suggest you to use the last GdViewer version: http://www.gdpicture.com/download/downl ... werpro.php
- Also, you have to close each image you previously opened. See CloseImage() method.

Best regards,
