Can not display image error no. 3

Postby brm013 » Fri May 25, 2007 8:26 am

I'm getting this error when I try to open up a tiff image.

I am using MapObjects (ActiveX) as well and the only code I have is Viewer.DisplayFromFile(sFileName);

I was also getting the error after zooming in and out using SetZoomRect?

I am also getting an AccVio on exit in MSVBVM60.dll

Any help please?

Good morning,

Error code 3 means: OutOfMemory http://www.gdpicture.com/references/gdv ... tatus.html

You are probably loading a large image file ?

You can try to set the InterpolationMode property to 0 or 1 to use less memory.

Hello,
I'm just testing your library.
I'm very happy with the speed, however I also found sometimes the
"Can not display image error no: 3".

Even if the files are "only" 1 bit....
Example: TIF file at 600DPI 28087x19866 pixels.
This file create the error.
But as its only 1bit, the memory usage should only by ~ 70MB!
So it not really "BIG" for us...

We need to load very large TIF files...(1bit and 24 Bit...)
What is the limitations of pixels ?
Any way to load "large" TIFs with you lib?
(Up to ~20000x65000!)

Hi,

The last 2.8.3 edition gets some memory usage improvements.

What is the limitations of pixels ?

The computer free memory is the only one limitation of the component.

Code: Select all
