TwainGetPhysicalWidth not for the selected paper source

Hi,

I'm using the HP ScanJet 5590.
Querying the max available scanning area using TwainGetPhysicalWidth/Height the scanner reports the height 14 inches. But the scanner has the feeder not selected, and for the flatbad the max scanning area according to specification is 11inches height. When I now try to set the scanning area using TwainSetImageLayout I'm not able to set a greater are than 11inch height, because flatbad is selected as paper source by default.

Is the getPhysicalWidth value an error of GdTwain / Scanner driver error / or the TwainGetPhysicalWidth/Height is not the correct way to obtain the max available scan area?

Today I used TwainSelectFeeder(true) in the hope I would be able to select the complete available scan area 8,5 x14 inches. But even the feeder is selected I'm not able set the Image layout to a greater value than 11 inches for the height.

Is this a GdTwain bug? Or is it the HP Twain driver bug? How to find this out?

GdTwain ActiveX version used is: 2.6.0.13
