We need some very simple OCR function in our application (like seek for number at fix position... knowing the font type and font size of the number... so VERY simple OCR function).

You have some good and well supported product and we will prefer to buy OCR product from you instead of other SH if you are planing to make it in short time.

Are you planing to add some OCR function to the GdTwain OCX ? or create a new product for OCR ?

Have some release date ? price ?

First sorry for the late.

For the moment I can't do anything to add OCR plug in. In the future I will search for a partnership with an other company to add bar code and text recogization but is not yet planned.

However, if you are looking for a low cost, basic and simple to use API I can suggest you to have a look on the charactell API (iREAD Forms™ SDK version 4.2 / CT-Basic product):
