How can I set scanning area?

Postby Fogwell » Wed Jul 23, 2008 2:47 pm

I need to set the size and location of the scannning rectangle on my scanner. I can set the scanning area through the scanner's dialog box, but I don't see a way to do it programatically throughGdTwain.

Does the TWAIN interface support setting and reading the size and offset of the scanning rectangle? I know that you can set the page size to A4, 8.5x11, etc - but I am looking for a way to scan a specific sub-area on a page.

Also, I noticed that there is an new version of GdTwain- I bought my developers liscense in January (08). What is my status?

Thanks!

Hi,

You can set the scanning area using the TwainSetImagelayout() method.
See: http://guides.gdpicture.com/v5/gdtwainp ... ayout.html

GdTwain major upgrades are free for 6 month after purchase.
Send a request to esales (at) gdpicture (dot) com to get a free upgrade to GdTwain 2.X. Don"t forget to give us your license key and the name company wich bought the license.
