error registering gdtwain.dll

I receive an error message while attempting to register gdtwain.dll. The error reports:

"The module "gdtwain.dll" was loaded but the entry-point DLLRegisterServer was not found."

I have downloaded what I thought was an updated gdtwain.dll file from the web site with a July 31, 2008 date stamp, but this did not fix the problem which occurs on both Windows XP and Vista.

Any help would be much appreciated. The error occurs both from my install program and from the command line REGSVR32 GDTWAIN.DLL.

Hi,

It's normal. gdtwain.dll is not an ActiveX. You just need to copy this dll into your application folder or into the system32 directory.

However, you have to register gdtwain2.ocx.

Please, check the chapter 2. Installing & Redistributing the Control of the toolkit you are using to get more informations.
