barcode recognition and Fujitsu 5900 scanner

I am having problems with the barcode recognition methods that are available with your SDK.

I am using a Fujitsu 5900 (huge scanner) that is capable of reading barcodes but your method to set barcode recognition doesn't work with this scanner. What options do I have with your software?
