Thumbnail get ID

Hi,

may i'm on the wrong way, but can't find a property like selected index in the thumbs.
Select a thumb >> push a button and do anything with the select thumb.
Also miss a feature like for each selected do anything.

In most methods you have to refer a id from thumb, how i get them ?
