Hi, I am trying to create a web app (asp.net) for scanning tif / pdf files. The application should also provide with the edititng features. I am not sure if the same can be achieved via a web app or do I have to create a windows app instead? If yes then how do I go about it?

Hi,

You can do that using the GdPicture Pro SDK as object of a web page.

First, you need to know where you want to scan/edit your image: from your ASP server or from client machine ?

In the case you want to use the ActiveX on the server machine, you need to learn how to invoke and use an ActiveX object from your ASP.NET code which can be vb or c#.
In the case you want to use the ActiveX on the client machine, you need to learn how to invoke an use an ActiveX in HTML code.

Hi Loic. Is there any chance you could provide source for those samples ?? That is exactly what I am trying to do, I'm just having trouble piecing together all the peices.
