Prevent Scrollbars from Flashing

Postby nvprogman » Mon Nov 22, 2010 10:17 pm

Is there a way to prevent the vertical scrollbars from flashing when users left or right click or the gdPicture control? I saw a post suggesting to set focus to another control which does seem to work. But I am hoping for a more straight-forward setting as I am extensively using the .PopupMenu function to allow users to right-click and select functions. I would need to code the set focus on every menu option and remember to set it for all menu options added in the future.

Thanks in advance for any help.

You didn't say what programming language you are using???

I'm not sure you'd want to use SetFocus to another control in any event as then you wouldn't be able to use the mouse scroll wheel or mouse wheel zoom without focus. If that doesn't matter to you then all you need to do is set the other control focus in the GdViewer or GdViewerContainer GotFocus event ("SomeOtherControl.SetFocus") one time.

One other thing... if you use XP themes with the use of a .RES file or Manifest file, the blinking will go away.
