Open PDF with Imaging component

Postby YvesT » Thu Nov 18, 2010 4:00 pm

Hello, (in VB6 activeX) is it possible to open a (multipage) PDF through the Imaging control only ?

The 'global' sample loads pdf through the GdViewer control.

What i need to do is scan all pages for barcodes (1D) , then split the PDF into separate pdf's using the barcode value as filename for each new pdf. The Imaging component seems unable to scan for barcodes on all of the pages at once ? Therefore, i need to browse each page and detect barcodes, is it possible with Imaging object only ?

Kind regards
Yves

Hi,

Unfortunately you have no other way to open/render the PDF using a GdViewer object.

We provide PDF reading features in GdPciture.NET indeed...

Kind regards,

Loïc

Hello,

Thanks for the reply, no problem in continuing to use the GdViewer object, it does the job.

Altough we have a problem loading this file (see attachment 'to_split.pdf') -> MsgBox GdPicturePro5S : Error rendering page + Error rendering page from the gdpdfplug library.

(File opens in Acrobat Reader 9)

What could be wrong ?

Kind regards
Yves.
