How to free memory (using VB6)

Postby TriloBase » Thu May 31, 2007 3:10 pm

Hello all,

I have a VB6 application that uses GDPicture Pro to show/view/zoom images.
After 10 or more big images, the applications begins slow down and and finally hangs. It seems that the memory is eaten (memory leak ???).

My question is : what is the best way to free memory ?

thank in advance.
Danny.

Hi,

The best way to free memory used by the gdpicture pro component is to release each image handle who are not used.
To release an image handle with the cGdPicture class you can use the CloseImage() method. http://www.gdpicture.com/references/gdp ... Image.html
