Delphi 7 + Windows 7 64 + .tlb

Hello,

when I try to import gdpicturepro5.tlb I get the message "Fehler beim Zugriff auf OLE-Regsitrierung", which means something like "An error occured during the OLE-registration".

On a nearly identical Delphi7-installation on Windows XP it is working and the components are added.

Any ideas?

Did you registered the ActiveX first ?

Are you sure Delphi 7 is OK to work on Windows 7 64 bit ? (I have a serious doubt on this).

To my own surprise Delphi 7 is stable on Windowss 7 64. I am working with this configuration for one month now and make heavy use of 3rd party components from 10 different supliers, all stable. (Ok, most of them are native VCL code). But I aware of the special configuration of my development environment and like the setup

I solved the problem yesterday, although I cannot reproduce it step by step. I had to register C:\Windows\SysWOW64\gdpicturepro5.oxc manually with admin rights. Then I installed it in delphi and took the the GdPicturePro5_TLB.pas from the XP installation. Works for me.
