Access Compression Method of a TIFF

Postby Nigels » Tue Jul 21, 2009 12:06 pm

Hi

I am sure this must be possible - but I cannot find the way to do it . . . . . . .

I am reading a TIFF file, splitting it up into pages, deskewing/rotating each page and then saving each page as a single page TIFF. I want to save each page with the same compression as the original TIFF had.

Does a property/method exist to access the compression method of the original TIFF? If not, how can this be done?

Thanks

Nigel

Ok - I presume this is not possible, could it be added to a future enhancement list?

A method, something like:

object.TiffGetCompression (nImageID)

Returns :

Long. Type of compression 6:None, 5:RLE, 4:CCITT4, 3:CCITT3, 2:LZW.
