Postby tomurphy » Wed Aug 12, 2009 2:36 pm

Hi

Can the image box display semi transparent icons, i.e. ones with the shadows??

Cheers

Hi Loic

I tried this in the latest version of the gdimagebox pro and it is not working for me, the semi transparent pixels of the icon are just black, fully transparent ones are transparent.

I am just loading the icon from a file, it's not a resource. Is there anything else I need to do to display the image correctly?

Cheers

Hi,

If you are using the control with BackStyle as transparent you can get only one color as transparent. Unfortunately, it is a limitation of the environment of development used by GdPicture ActiveX. The only way to get full transparency support is to the the backstyle to opaque or to use the .NET edition.

With best regards,

Hi Loic

I found one thing, the icon displays ok when displayed from file (DisplayFromFile) but it loses some quality when displayed from the resouce (DisplayFromHIcon)??
